From here we will move towards the spectacular Valbona, the beating heart of the Albanian Alps: an uncontaminated nature made up of majestic peaks, green valleys and authentic villages that seem suspended in time.
The experience will be enriched with the evocative crossing of the Koman fjord, a natural jewel compared to the fjords of northern Europe, with its emerald waters framed by high rock walls.
The journey will end in Kruja, a city symbol of the Albanian resistance, where the castle and the picturesque Ottoman bazaar offer a dive into the history and traditions of the country.

Visit to the city, inhabited since the Bronze Age and founded around the 4th century BC, which became the capital of the Illyrian Kingdom until the Roman conquest of 221 BC. Visit to Rozafa Castle, rebuilt in the 14th century during Venetian rule on the ancient Illyrian foundations. Afterwards, visit to the Ethnographic Museum and short walk in the historic center.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Theth, immersed in breathtaking landscapes and lavender fields, in the heart of the Theth National Park. Trekking or walking with a route of your choice. Visit to the church of Theth, originally built in 1892 and renovated in 2005. A short distance away, stop at the “Kulla and Ngujimit”, a tower used in the past as a refuge in case of revenge, according to the local customary code. Nearby, you can admire an old mill and walk the path that leads to the Gerla bridge over the Theth canyon and, subsequently, to the Grunasi waterfall. Dinner and overnight stay in a guest house.
Breakfast in guest house. Transfer on foot towards Valbona, through woods and pastures, up to the pass at 1,950 m, with a short stop to admire the spectacular panorama of the Theth valley. During the route you will cross the Valbona river and you will be able to admire some waterfalls and the picturesque village of Rragam. The Valbona Valley National Park, with an area of approximately 8,000 hectares, offers an extraordinary variety of landscapes, flora and fauna. Forests, lakes, flowers and the hospitality of the local population make this place unique.

Breakfast in guest house. Day dedicated to the discovery of the Valbona Valley, located in the district of Tropoja, at the foot of the Albanian Alps, with numerous mountains exceeding 2,000 meters in height. Among the main mountain massifs we highlight the eastern block of Jezerca, whose peak reaches 2,694 m, and the block of Maja and Hekurave (2,561 m), known for its asymmetrical slopes. Also noteworthy is the Shkelzeni peak (2,407 m), of tectonic origin and pyramidal shape.

We’ll meet at 4 p.m. at our hotel in Luzern (Lucerne) for a “Welcome to Switzerland” meeting. Then we’ll take a meandering evening walk through Switzerland’s most charming lakeside town, and get acquainted with one another over dinner together. Sleep in Luzern (2 nights). No bus. Walking: light.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the Kepi i Rodonit promontory, about 55 km from Tirana. Walk in the natural peninsula, with the possibility of delving into the history of Albania and its recent communist past, including a visit to the enormous anti-aircraft bunkers built by the regime. During the walk of about two hours, visit the site known as Scanderbeg Castle, with a wonderful view of the sea. Return to Tirana and visit the main places of interest in the capital, including entry to the National Historical Museum.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Berat, one of the most visited cities in Albania, known as the “city of a thousand windows” and declared a UNESCO heritage site. Visit to the city castle, still inhabited, which in the past housed over forty churches; today seven remain, including one transformed into the Onufri Museum. After lunch, departure for Durazzo, a thousand-year-old city founded in 627 BC. by the Greeks of Corcyra and Corinth, nicknamed “the wonderful city” for its statues, monuments and temples. Visit to the Roman amphitheatre, considered the largest in the Balkans, the Archaeological Museum and the Venetian tower.
Return to Tirana. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time according to the departure time and transfer to Tirana airport for the return flight.
